The first assignment was to design a logo for the business. The client had decided on the name "Magellan" and wanted a logo that would inspire confidence for parents but also connect with its younger audience. The central concept was "orientation", together with the idea of guidance. A compass was the obvious choice but seemed a bit simplistic and outdated. In addition, we felt that the human factor was important. The arrow with rounded angles seemed more appropriate. As for the hand, it has purposely been drawn to look like lines or paths, representing various study or career choices. Magellan can be visited here.
